Keep the Anchor, and Add One Bridge

The integration begins with the anchor — the daily session, however small — and one bridge: an ordinary action, performed with attention, at a fixed moment. The first coffee, the door, the walk to the car: the moment the session trains, the action carries. The bridge is the practice leaving the cushion by its own door — not the addition of a new task, but the attention added to an existing one. One attended action a day is a complete beginning.

The bridge works because it is anchored like the session: same action, same time, same attention. The coffee is not a pause from the practice; it is the practice in its second form. The attention that was trained in the stillness is the attention that meets the day's first object. The session is the training; the bridge is the first step of the field.
