Many decisions are made through an invisible audience: will they approve, will they accept, will they judge? Maya has spent over 30 years meeting this in students: the specific pattern of seeking approval — formed early, held in the body, and repeated daily — still running beneath adult choices.
Her work approaches that pattern directly. Self-validation, in her teaching, is the quiet confidence in one's own perception that settles back when the scenario behind the self-doubt is seen and healed: in guided meditation the old story comes into view — the reaction, the relationship it formed in, the age it formed at — and it is then met in the practice: the attitude reviewed, the scenario reformatted, the experience released.
This guide sets out what self-validation means in Maya's practice, the steps this work involves, and where to begin.
