Most people who fail at meditation fail on day one. They sit down, expect silence, meet a racing mind and the loop of comparison and judgment — and decide this is not for them. The failure is the starting point: an attention that has been living at the periphery of the senses, amid noise.
Maya has taught for over 30 years that practice begins before any technique. The first need is to bring attention back from the external kaleidoscope into the inner space — toward breath, the sensation of the body, and presence. Everything a beginner needs can be done in three minutes after the morning coffee.
